Corrogarra

INFORMATION

Corrogarra are small pink lobsters native to Bubbletree Beaches and in pink salt marshes. They have a tough, segmented exoskeleton in shades of soft pink with darker coral accents, which helps them blend into their salty surroundings. Corrogarra are resourceful scavengers, often collecting bones from deceased marine creatures, large salt rocks, and kelp to construct fortified homes beneath the water. They primarily scavenge for dead fish, shellfish, and plant matter but are also known to nibble on the salt-enriched leaves of Salted Hidee-Hoo. In fact, Corrogarra have a loose symbiotic relationship with Salted Hidee-Hoo. They sometimes hide within the Hidee-Hoo’s bush-like body for protection and to snack on loose leaves or fallen flowers. This relationship benefits both creatures, as the Corrogarra will help clean off debris from the Hidee-Hoo’s leaves, improving its health.

Chloe’s Notes

Corrogarra are a delicacy in other parts of the world, but here in Hostiden, you’ll find them on just about every seafood menu. I’ve grilled them a few times myself. Bubble salt and Corrogarra tail is honestly a match made in heaven. One of the knights even has one as a pet… but it’s hard not to look at it and think about tossing it on the grill. I didn’t eat breakfast this morning…”
